[6] do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (ESV)
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (ESV)
[2] Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. (ESV)
Being a loving church is so important. The world is very divided right now! The world needs God more than ever. We can make the change the world needs by loving the way God instructs us too! This passage in Acts gives us the guidelines on how to love the church.
[16] Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. (ESV)
[7] If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (ESV)
Did you know that God created you to worship Him? Everything we do as a church is an act of worship. Let's take a look at how we are to worship God.
[14] And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. [15] And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. (ESV)
[18] praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, (ESV)
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), 40 million American adults are affected by anxiety. That's around 18% of the population. Wow! Some of us try different ways to deal with their anxiety. Some turn to medicine. Some turn to alcohol. None of these are the answer. Jesus is the only answer.
[13] Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. (ESV)
[44] But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, (ESV)
Trust is a hard thing to do for some people. When you worry you are not trusting God. God loves you and wants you to trust in him. Will you?
[41] Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (ESV)
[12] Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (ESV)
[2] And he said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. [3] Give us each day our daily bread, [4] and forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.” (ESV)
[16] Rejoice always, [17] pray without ceasing, [18] give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (ESV)
